Tally Hawk enjoyed hosting a socially distanced Sue Lightner clinic this month. All participants learned valuable lessons in the saddle as well as a special confirmation class led by Sue. As always we thank Sue for her time and valuable insights!

We have had a great few months at home filled with a great THS Holiday party, lots of no stirrups work, and growing our team. We look forward to kicking off the show season next week at NWC III at Rancho Murieta!

Sept 18-22 Show Highlights:
Jessica Allan and her horse Zieta Z had great rounds in the Performance Hunters and ended up 3rd in the USHJA National Derby with a very tight finish for the top three placings
Jessica Allan and Melissa Brandley's Reminiscent Champion in the Young Hunters as well as an impressive USHJA National Derby round ending up just out of the second round in 13th
Jessica Allan and Abby Boyer's Call It Karma had their debut in their first $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. The handy Zar ended up 10th with an unlucky rail but we are so excited for this horse's future in the big derbies!
Melissa Brandley and Reminiscent had great placings in the Modified Adult Amateur Hunters. Melissa Brandley and Reflection had beautiful rounds in the AA Hunters and an impressive fifth place finish in the $1,000 BarnStyle Child/AA Hunter Classic
Camryn Rodriguez and Zieta Z Champions in the Children's Hunters
Abby Boyer and Call It Karma had an exceptional equitation show with great placings in the Junior Equitation 15-17, winners of the Hamel Foundation NHS Medal, CPHA Foundation Medal, and the NCEA Junior Medal!
Gabi Scranton and her pony, Big Magic, had a great learning experience show in the cross rail division and we can't wait to watch this pair work on their homework from this show. Great work, Gabi!

The highlight of this show was the CPHA Horsemanship Medal Final! Tally Hawk had four competitors in this class and we are so proud of the following results: Michelle Gaubert and her horse, Winnetou, finished champion! Anika Mehta and Raydiant finished reserve champion, Nicole Gorman and Mark My Word, owned by Rose Carver, finished 3rd and Kate Olsen and her horse Catira finished 7th! The success of our group in this class was recently featured in an article by California Riding Magazine by West Palms Events! Great job riders we could not be prouder trainers!

Anne Saunders and her horse, Never Say Never, Reserve Champions in the Pre-Adult Hunters. Anne was also Champion in the Pre-Adult Equitation

CONGRATULATIONS TO JESSICA ALLAN AND ZIETA Z WINNERS OF THE CWD $5,000 HUNTER DERBY!!
Jessica and her horse, Zieta Z, topped a very competitive field of 26 horses to win this class including a high score of 92 in the handy round. We could not be prouder of this special pair! Jessica also rode the Call It Karma, owned by the Boyer family, to an 8th place finish and Melissa Brandley's Reminiscent to an 11th place finish. All three horses laid down consistent rounds in the 80's to come back and finish well in the top 12!

Melissa Brandley and her horses, Reflection and Reminiscent had another great show together. Melissa and Reflection had consistent high scores in the Adult Amateur Hunters and a second place finish in the Ariat Medal! Melissa and Reminiscent had top placings in the Modified Adult Amateur Hunters in their second show together. We can't wait to watch these young horses continue to grow!
Anika Mehta and her mount Romanov took a clean sweep in the Beginner Equitation 17 & Under to earn the Championship for the division. This pair also earned high placings in the Modified Children's Hunter division including several wins!
Michelle Gaubert and her horse Winnetou had a great show earning top placings in the Modified Adult Hunters division and a third place finish in the Almaden Farms Jr/Am Medal.
Abby Boyer and her horse, Call It Karma, had great placings in the Junior Equitation and Junior Hunters as well as 10th place finish in the $5,000 Circle Oak Junior/Amateur Hunter Derby!
Gabi Scranton and her pony, Big Magic, had a very successful show in their first show catering full courses! The pair were first and second in the Walk Trot Cross Rail classes and placed in top three consistently in the Cross Rail Equitation. We can't wait to watch this pair continue to grow!
Camryn Rodriguez and Zieta Z had top placings in the Low Children's Hunters and a win in the Almaden Farm Jr/Am Medal!
THS Holiday Party: Our second annual Tally Hawk Holiday Party was a success and a great time was had by all! Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us at the top of the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco! Check out pictures in our gallery!
Gina Allan Clinic 11.30-12.2: Our favorite dressage coach came down from Canada again for our winter dressage clinic! Gina was able to work with some of our new team members and as always we have plenty of homework to do this winter. Thanks for everything, Gina!
